Terms & Agreement
These general terms cover the work Geeslane does: new websites, revamps, domain and hosting, monitoring, AI automation, and advice. A signed project agreement, invoice, or written proposal for a specific job still takes priority for that job.
Last updated 24 September 2026. Governed by Nigerian law.
How These Terms Work
Sending a service request, email, or WhatsApp message does not create a contract or start paid work. Work starts after Geeslane accepts the job, you approve the scope and fee, and any agreed deposit is received.
If you later open a client portal, the project agreement, invoices, and written change requests for that project form part of the deal for that project.
New Websites
Geeslane will design, build, test, and launch the pages and features listed in the approved proposal. Extra pages, new features, major design changes, copywriting, or ongoing content updates are quoted separately.
You provide text, images, brand files, and approvals on time. You confirm you have permission to use every item you send, and you check the final content before launch.
Website Revamp & Fixes
Revamp work is limited to the issues and improvements we agreed in writing. A complete redesign, a new platform, or a large extra feature is additional work.
You must be able to give authorised administrator access, or obtain it. Geeslane is not responsible for problems caused by later changes you or another vendor make after handover.
Domain, Hosting & Email
Domain registration, hosting, business email, SSL, plugins, and other third-party services may have separate charges. First-year or promotional prices do not lock future renewal prices.
Renewal costs may rise because of provider prices, exchange rates, taxes, traffic, storage, or a required plan upgrade. Geeslane will tell you the known cost before renewal. You must approve and pay before the provider deadline to keep the website or mailbox online.
Monitoring & Maintenance
A new website includes thirty calendar days of monitoring after launch for reproducible errors in the agreed work. That does not include new features, design changes, content updates, attacks, third-party outages, or problems from later changes.
After that period, updates, backups, security, and support need a separate paid request or maintenance plan.
AI Automation
Automation work covers the workflows, tools, and outcomes listed in the approved scope. Geeslane will use reasonable skill and care, but results depend on the quality of your data, the third-party tools you use, and how your team operates the system.
AI output can be incomplete or wrong. You remain responsible for reviewing automated messages, decisions, and published content before they go to customers. Tool licences, API usage, and model costs sit with you unless the proposal says otherwise.
Strategy & Consultation
Advice is based on the information you give us. It is not a guarantee of search ranking, sales, funding, or a particular business outcome. Implementation is a separate project unless we agreed it in the same proposal.
Fees, Invoices & Payment
Payments follow the approved proposal or invoice. The deposit becomes non-refundable once work begins. Geeslane may pause work or delay launch and handover while an invoice is overdue. Final handover happens after all project fees and approved extras are paid.
You can track invoices in your client portal, or on the website with your invoice number and the email on the project.
Timeline, Revisions & Changes
The timeline moves if content, feedback, approval, or third-party access is delayed. If you are inactive for more than fourteen days, Geeslane may pause the project and give a new completion date.
A revision adjusts work already agreed. A new page, feature, integration, or major change of direction is additional work and needs approval of cost and timing first. Included revision rounds are those stated on the project agreement.
Ownership, Credentials & Handover
After full payment, Geeslane hands over the applicable website code or archive, administrator access, and relevant setup information. You own the final custom work created specifically for the project. Third-party software, fonts, stock assets, plugins, and open-source components keep their own licences.
Geeslane may show the public website in its portfolio unless you ask for confidentiality in writing.
Liability, Privacy & Cancellation
Geeslane uses reasonable skill and care, but cannot guarantee uninterrupted hosting, search ranking, sales, or protection from every cyber incident. After handover, you are responsible for renewals, passwords, backups, content, and future changes. To the extent permitted by law, Geeslane’s total liability for a project will not exceed the amount paid for that project.
Both parties will protect non-public project information and access credentials. You decide what visitor information a website collects and supply any privacy wording your business needs.
Either party may end a project in writing. You pay for work completed and third-party costs already committed. Geeslane will provide paid-for completed work in its current condition where reasonably practical.
